Nurture
The textile industry is one of the largest contributors to environmental degradation. Globally, textiles manufacturing does not use natural resources effectively. It is responsible for 20% of global clean water pollution and has higher greenhouse gas emissions than international flights & shipping combined.
To worsen the problem, the environmental legacy of textile products is potentially more damaging than their manufacture or useful lifespan. Europeans discard nearly half of their clothes every year. 87% of this waste ends up either incinerated or in landfill. A process where man-made fibres are exposed to the environment, increasing the risk of saturation of forever chemicals and micro plastics in our ecosystem.
Today the well intentioned consumer faces more challenges than ever to minimise their footprint with confusing sustainability trends, fast fashion, marketing wars, greenwashing and exploitation of niche natural resources. Our trusted community makes it simpler to access the products you need. whilst nurturing people and the environment through our five standards.
